Carol A. Freeman, age 73, a life-long resident of North East, passed away on May 4, 2021.
She was born on February 16, 1948, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Buscemi.
In her early years, Carol had worked for Keystone Foods and Barb’s Care A Lot Daycare Center. She was a graduate of St. Gregory’s Catholic School in 1967 and was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to cook and bake. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered as being kind to all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her husband, Melvin Freeman; her two children, Daniel Freeman (Janell) and Kelly Pearson (Jeremy); four grandchildren, Haley and Lexy Freeman and Matthew and Erik Pearson. She is also survived by a brother, Anthony Buscemi, and a sister Delores Newara. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Freeman.
Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bower’s Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 1:30 until 4:30. All public safety guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic will be strictly adhered to, including the mandate for the use of face masks and social distancing.
