CHARLES M. HIRTZEL

Charles M. Hirtzel, 72, of North East, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at his residence.

 He was born on October 17, 1948, in Erie, Pa, a son of the late Charles L. and Dorothea Augusta Kalteis Hirtzel.

Charles was a fruit and vegetable farmer and partner in the Hirtzel Farm and Market Place in North East, PA.   He also enjoyed taking time for hunting and fishing.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Chris Ann Hirtzel on December 14, 2020.  He is survived by two sons, Chas C. Hirtzel and David P. Hirtzel, and his wife Renee, and two daughters, Pamela Hirtzel and Julie L. Laemmerhirt; one brother, Philip Hirtzel, and two sisters, Harriet Hirtzel and Elaine Boerst and her husband James, all of North East; also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S.
