David L. Foster

David Lee Foster, 90, of North East, PA passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his residence.

He was born on February 21, 1932, in Erie, PA a son of the late Robert Milton and Virginia Lea McCreary Foster.

David was 2nd in his Class at Harbor Creek High School class of 1949.  Prior to his retirement David was a draftsman at the Erie General Electric Co for 45 years.  David was a member of Park United Methodist Church in North East where he was very active in Church activities.  He also served on the North East  Water and Sewer Commissions for many years.  His three passions in life were playing golf, playing Bridge, and eating Rhubarb Pie.  He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins Ice Hockey Team.

David is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy Foster, whom he married on August 21, 1965, two sons, Patrick Foster of Colorado, and Dana (Anne) Foster of North East, 1 stepson, Ted Garnow (Michelle) of North Carolina, 1 stepdaughter, Pamela Tann (Mike) of Kansas, his sister, Judy Krieger of Erie and his grandchildren Lauren, Ryan, Jared, and Kristen Tann, Andrew, Brandon, Jenevieve Foster, Jaimie, and Caitlin Foster, Jonathan (Alyssa) Batsel and Rachael Garnow.

Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 11 A.M. until the time of funeral services there at 2 P.M.  Rev. Eric Leonard will officiate.  Interment will be in North East Cemetery, North East, PA.
