Ella Mae Williams, 93, of North East, PA, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her residence at Parkside North East.

She was born on December 28, 1930, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Richard and Genevieve Cunningham Rose. She lived for a short time in Greenville, PA, and then in 1966 moved to North East.

Ella worked for Ridg-U-Rak Inc. as an administrative assistant for 25 years, retiring in 1992. As a committed member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in North East, she actively served in the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her grandchildren as well as volunteering at Brevillier Village.  In keeping physically fit, Ella was an avid walker and enjoyed partaking in distance walking events where she achieved many awards as well as attending water aerobics for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert James Williams and two sons, Todd Williams and Terry Williams.

Ella’s love extended to her surviving family—a sister, Thelma Urick of Apollo, PA, two sons, Timothy Williams (Linda) and Ted Williams, both of North East, four grandchildren, Amanda Kollman (Andy), Michael Williams (Kortney), Brittany Weinzierl (Alex) and Tyler Williams (Allison), five great-grandchildren, Weston, Bennett and Lincoln Kollman, Ellie Weinzierl and Beckham Williams as well as several nieces and nephews from the Pittsburgh area and Beulah, Michigan.

Ella Mae will be dearly missed, but her spirit will be remembered for the joy and kindness she gave to those who were blessed to know her. Her family gratefully acknowledges the comforting and caring services by the skilled nursing staff at Parkside who provided warm, excellence and compassionate care to Ella.
