Frank A. Semelka, Jr., 54, of North East, PA passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 15, 1968, in Erie, PA, the first son of Frank and Joanne Semelka of North East.
Frank was a 1986 graduate of North East High School and a 1991 graduate of Penn State University, where he was part of the Rugby Team. Prior to finishing his degree at Penn State, he attended Grove City College where he played football for two years. After college he achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Frank was an avid guitar player and loved to sing karaoke. He was also a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. For the past several years Frank worked for the Gertrude Barber Center in Erie.
Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Semelka. In addition to his parents, Frank is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Melanie Semelka, his nephews, Joseph, Anthony, and Luke, and his nieces, Meredith, Juliet, and Bethany Semelka, many cousins, and his Aunt Roseann Semelka.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church, 50 S. Pearl St., North East, PA at 11 A.M. Private interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.
