Jeffrey L. Southwick

Jeffrey Lee Southwick, age 77, of Erie, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023. He was born in Erie, PA, on November 23, 1945, the son of the late Mark and Margaret Behan Southwick.

Jeff was a 1963 North East High School graduate and attended Grove City College, graduating in 1967 with a liberal arts degree (Jeff hoped he would never have to speak Spanish again!). He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan and later at the Walter Reed Hospital. Jeff spent much of his life as a fruit grower in North East and was well-respected in the farming community. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to your face. Jeff loved golfing with his buddies, Tony and Dave, but mostly he enjoyed a cigar on hole #12 and going to lunch afterward. He loved Presque Isle, walking or biking the peninsula, rain or shine. He loved wintering at Anna Maria Island with his wife, Patti, walking the beach, biking, and eating with friends. Jeff was especially fond of hiking with his three sons in Yosemite National Park and constantly creating new memories. He loved his sons and will be greatly missed by them. 

   Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 38 wonderful years, Patti Kelley Southwick; sons, Ryan (Louise) of Pacifica, CA, Adam of June Lake, CA, and Cory Southwick of Erie; grandchildren, Emily and Gabe Southwick of CA; and his twin brother, Jim Southwick (Marilyn) of Gresham, OR.

   Arrangements are being handled by the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA. The family would like to thank the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville for their outstanding care and compassion.
