Karen A. Brown, 78, of Erie, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 20, 1947, in Springdale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna Mrocek Sherosky. Karen cherished her family deeply and had a lifelong love for all things at Christmas.

She is survived by her son, David Brown (Alaina) of Erie; her daughter, Lori Smith (Ben) of Elkhart, Indiana; two sisters, Eva Shelton of Texas and Mary Ann Schake of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Edward Brown, in 2024; and by two brothers, David Sherosky and Johnny Kovacevich.

Family and friends may call at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake Street, North East, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor David Kuchta officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Grahamville Cemetery.
