Lloyd L Shampoe, age 85, of North East, PA passed away on Thursday June 5, 2025 at home. Born in North East September 9, 1939 to the late Frances and Lucille (Bemis) Shampoe

Lloyd lived in North East all 85 years of his young life. He graduated from North East High School, enlisted in the Army for several years. He returned and married his first wife and the mother of his children, Janice (Foster) Shampoe.

He was a letter carrier for over 25 years. Lloyd always had a smile on his face, a skip in his step. While at the USPS, he met the love of his life, Lynn R. Barthelmes Shampoe, whom he was married to for 28 years until her passing in 2016. Dad wanting more than golfing after retirement. So, he chose to work at Concord Plumbing for 20 years. In 2020, he reconnected with his current companion and last love, Patricia Richards.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one Brother Eugene Shampoe, his first wife, Janice, his second wife, Carol, and his Angel, Lynn.

Lloyd will be missed by many, but mostly by what he would call his three best accomplishments in life. His oldest son, Chris (Wahnetah) of North East, his son Terry (Aileen) of Colorado Springs, Co., and his daughter, Sandra Jean (Jeff) Joncas of Harborcreek. Grandchildren: C.J., Kayleigh, Nick, Alexandra Shampoe, and Isabelle Joncas.

Dad lived by a motto: Be nice to others, and they will be nice to you. Because of this, he had a friend everywhere he went. Everyone knew his name or knew his face. He was such a nice guy. He is very much loved and will be greatly missed. The family would like to send a special thank you to Scott and Ashley at CNS.
