Mary Louise Hinkler Obituary

Mary Louise Hinkler, 79, of North East passed away Wednesday January 6, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Erie after a courageous fight with inflammatory breast cancer.  She was born on January 20, 1930 in Erie, PA a daughter of the late Clifford F. and Ruth A. Chesley Swartzman.

            She and her husband Harold founded Harold H. Hinkler, Inc, Auto Sales and Notary Service in 1954 in North East.  Mary Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family.  She and her husband enjoyed taking rides and going out to eat in their several antique cars.  She was a 1947 graduate of East High School in Erie and a member of the Women of Moose, North East Lodge Chapter No. 2191.  Mary Louise had a large collection of Roosters and a special love of all animals.

            She was preceded in death by one brother, William A. Swartzman.  Mary Louise is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold H. Hinkler, whom she married August 12, 1950, four daughters, Linda Mae Perrine and her husband Randy of North East, Marilyn Ruth Belson  and her husband  Bob of North East, Cindy Lou Crossman and her husband Al of Ripley, NY and Heather Lynn Hinkler of North East, four grandchildren, Amy Lynn Belson (Travis Swabik), Amber Ruth Belson (Jason Stetson), Christopher James Crossman and Stacey Louise Crossman, and four great grandchildren Karlee Ruth Stetson, Carter Lee, Trader Lee and Trever Lee Swabik.  Also survived by a close friend Casey Swabik and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

            Private visitation and funeral services with Pastor Rick Maas officiating, will be held at the convenience of the family at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, PA.  Private interment will be in North East Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park St., North East, PA or the charity of ones choice.  To send condolences, please visit www.bowersfuneralhome.com.
