RENAE DIANE OSBORNE

Renae Diane (Loucks) Osborne, 68, passed away on Friday, June 21st after a long courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family and close friends.

Born on May 11th, 1956, to Eleanor and Ellsworth Loucks. She graduated from North East High School in 1974. For 26 years she worked at Better Baked Foods as an Inventory Control Clerk until she had to retire due to Multiple Sclerosis. She served as a union steward and was also on the board of directors for the Teamsters Local 397 in Erie PA.

Renae loved taking vacations on motorcycle trips with Gary to the Adirondacks, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Michigan’s upper peninsula. She enjoyed going to Van Jams with friends, especially her best friend John Gapinski. She enjoyed sitting around the campfire with friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North East Pennsylvania and was a member of various clubs in North East.

Renae was a kind a generous soul always putting other’s needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her. She will be remembered for her laughter and warm personality.

Renae was preceded in death by her parents. Brother-in-law Matthew Boyce, Sister-in-law Gale (Osborne) Maus, Nephew Steven Boyce, and Best friend John Gapinski. She is survived by her sisters Kathie Boyce, and Rebecca Reese Baker (Dan). Her life-long loving companion Gary Osborne who was with her throughout her battle with cancer up until the end. Sister-in-law Jana (Osborne) Hubler, brother-in-law Greg (Mary Ann) Osborne, and brother-in-law Jim Maus. Sons Charles (Kayla) and James (Christen). Her grandchildren Beau, Alex, Noah, Everett, Lucas, and Garrett. And many nieces and nephews. Ride-or-die friends Traci Feathers, Bill Tebalt, Kim and Doug Pius, Christy Basso and lil T.

A special thank you to Community Nursing Services of North East.

There will be no services, as per her wishes. There will be a celebration of life on September 8th, 2024, at Shades Beach, Harborcreek, small pavilion. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park St., North East, PA 16428.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of the W.
