Ronald D. Riser passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, July 19, 2025. His family is deeply grateful to the compassionate team at Aseracare and his dedicated private duty nurses who made it possible for him to spend his final days in the comfort of his home.

Ronald was born on November 4, 1937, in a small farmhouse in Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania. He was a longtime member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in North East and proudly worked at Erie General Electric for 35 years.

He is survived by his two sons: Donald Riser and his wife, Jamila, and Richard Riser and his wife, Kathy. Ronald was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Jared Riser, David Riser and his wife, Molly; Danni Snodgrass and her husband, Nate; Kristina Duemmler and her husband, Lucas; and Robert Riser and his girlfriend, Julia McDonald. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren—Logan, Winston, Watson, and Kaeda—and one more on the way.

Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma B. Riser; his daughter, Sue Czerkies; and two brothers.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, August 16, at 1:00 PM at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 22 East Division Street, North East, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church.
